Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey put at least $13 million on the table for G20 parties – including $324,000 for an actual table.

Speaking of tables, former Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s farewell saw a $1,000 Italian marble coffee table smashed to pieces.

The Budget Emergency didn’t stop Joe Hockey throwing his own Budget night parties – he spent $20,000 all up on the soirees during his two year stint as Treasurer.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop takes a tour each year with foreign ambassadors at an average cost of $55,000 per day.

Like a real rock star, she always makes sure her entourage is on the guest list – even when they make up a quarter of the room at a $350 a head dinner.
